Q / 01 Can it tell me automatically if a track is a RIP?
No — and that's intentional. We shipped an automated verdict early on and pulled it: gradual masters got mis-flagged and the label distracted from the plot itself. The spectrogram is what you use to judge; the app shows it clearly and gets out of your way.
Q / 02 Does it re-encode my files?
No. It only reads them for analysis. The file on disk is never modified.
Q / 03 Does it work without internet?
Yes, fully offline. RIP DJ makes no network requests at all — the FFT runs on your phone.
Q / 04 Which formats are supported?
MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A, OGG Vorbis, Opus, AIFF, and CAF. Anything your DJ software typically accepts.
Q / 05 What about Android?
The codebase supports Android, but iOS shipped first. No timeline for Android release yet.
Q / 06 Do you store my tracks?
No. Nothing leaves your device. See the privacy policy.
